Please join us for the 2nd Annual PHilomont garden PHair during Historic Virginia Garden Week here in Philomont, VA located along historic Snickersville Turnpike, a Virginia scenic byway.
The PHilomont garden PHair will be a two-day event on April 24-25 from llam-4pm located on the lawn between the Philomont General Store and the Philomont fire house. It is comprised of local artisans, growers, plant vendors and commercial garden-themed retailers selling garden-themed items.
- The annual Philomont Horse Show will also be taking place that weekend and always draws people to this beautiful village.
- A May Day Basket Contest and daily drawings for great prizes will also be a part of the festivities. The May Day Basket Display will begin on April 24 and 25 so PHair visitors will have a chance to see and vote for their favorite basket in Philomont on those two days. The baskets will remain up and on display at participating homes thru May 1 when the winners of the May Day Basket Display will be announced.
- The Philomont garden PHair will be publicized through LCV A (Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association) via their website and printed materials; local newspapers; flyers; participating vendors; LCP&R (Loudoun County Parks and Recreation) via their inter-office mail, printed flyers and upcoming calendars; AgroDepot (a year round farm market located at Hill High Orchard); local Libraries; STA (Snickersville Turnpike Association) surrounding garden clubs and general word of mouth.
- Free parking is available at the Philomont Community Center. Lunch is available for a nominal fee of$5.00.
